Job Summary

The Avera Cancer Institute in Sioux Falls seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients with cancer. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive nursing services and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Position

This full-time position is available in our outpatient program, where you will work closely with oncologists, surgeons, and other specialists to provide high-quality patient care. Your expertise as a Registered Nurse will be essential in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and addressing any concerns that may arise during the care process.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver professional nursing care to patients with various types of cancer
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history
  • Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform other clinical tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments
Requirements

To be considered for this rewarding opportunity, you must possess:

  • A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota or eligibility for multi-state licensure
  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing, preferably from an accredited institution
  • Oncology certification and chemotherapy experience are highly desirable
