Position Overview:

The analyst will address complex issues that could significantly impact the organization, requiring a careful evaluation of various alternatives and a strategic approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively assess and identify potential AML risks and emerging concerns by reviewing relevant news articles, legal documents, and industry reports.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and complex research using both internal and external data sources, analyzing findings to inform decision-making.
  • Draft detailed investigative reports and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as necessary, presenting insights to senior management and recommending subsequent actions.
  • Perform due diligence investigations to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize sound judgment and discretion in decision-making to minimize corporate risk throughout the investigative process.
  • Advise senior management on potential actions regarding client relationships, including retention or termination, and prepare SARs when required.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned, ensuring a comprehensive approach to risk assessment in business decisions.
  • Uphold the firm's reputation by adhering to legal standards and internal policies, demonstrating ethical behavior in all business practices.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in a financial institution, specifically in AML.
Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
This role encompasses a high-level overview of the tasks performed, with additional job-related duties assigned as necessary. The Senior Analyst will engage in reviewing high-risk customer cases, analyzing account relationships comprehensively, and documenting investigations to provide initial recommendations and conclusions regarding global customer relationships. The role involves conducting AML investigations that span multiple jurisdictions and complex client account patterns, drawing from various sources including compliance referrals and industry trends.

Work Environment:
This position is part of the Compliance and Control job family, specifically within AML Intelligence, and is a full-time role.
