Job Summary
The Physical Therapist will provide high-quality patient care by developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans to improve mobility, strength, and function. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with facility policies and procedures, as well as corporate guidelines.
- Report any concerns or allegations of patient abuse or neglect to the Administrator or Director of Nursing.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Director of Rehabilitation and facility Director of Rehabilitation Services.
- Provide patient care with dignity and respect, maintaining confidentiality of all patient and family information.
- Attend work on schedule and be responsible for supervising and training PTA's and PT Aides.
- Evaluate patients within one business day of receiving a written referral from the Doctor.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, supervising PTA's as needed.
- Communicate with referring physicians and rehabilitation team members regarding patient treatment programs.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments for billing and charting purposes.
- Provide in-service education to facilities, staff, students, and the facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Director of Rehab.
- Meet established efficiency standards for delivering physical therapy services.
Job Requirements:
- Meet recognized standards of professional education and qualifications.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Successfully complete the requirements contained in the Company's Motor Vehicles policy, if required to operate a motor vehicle for business purposes.
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Assist in the evacuation of patients during emergency situations.
- Perform the essential position functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodation.
