As a Class A CDL Delivery Driver at Performance Foodservice, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and safe deliveries of food and food-related products to our customers. Your exceptional communication skills and attention to detail will be essential in building strong relationships with customers and adhering to Department of Transportation regulations.

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL A license, 12+ months of commercial driving experience, and a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years. You will be responsible for transporting goods across various routes, following strict safety guidelines, and maintaining accurate records of your activities.

Your Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities as a Class A CDL Delivery Driver will include:

• Driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Communicating and interacting with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintaining all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
• Fulfilling other duties as assigned to best serve the company.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• Valid CDL A license.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Ability to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift.
