The Patient Services Coordinator, under the supervision of the Practice Manager, plays a vital role in providing administrative support to healthcare providers in a high-volume ambulatory setting. This position serves as the primary interface between patients and the healthcare team, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating patient flow.
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate and efficient patient care, including communicating with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Mass General Brigham's policies and procedures.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Practice Manager, including data entry, filing, and mail distribution.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an ambulatory care environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
