Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL Class A Hazmat to join our team in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures.
  • Load and unload freight, and assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customers.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and other drivers to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
  • At least 12 months of experience as a Hazmat truck driver.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check.
