Job Description for Chemical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer to join our team at Reputable Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that process plants and operational activities meet set KPI productivity, cost, quality, environment, safety, utilisation and efficiency with the given resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Development: Propose, design, implement, review and correct plans and procedures to ensure company goals are achieved.
  • Process Optimization: Observe processes, conduct research and find ways to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Safety Procedures: Ensure safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials are followed.
  • Documentation: Handle the preparation and revision of SOPs, flow diagrams for all process and operational activities to ensure continuous improvement in KPIs.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Develop analytical methods and analyse data, prepare and present reports.
  • Process Simulations: Perform process simulations and develop process flow diagrams (FFDs) piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and heat and material balances.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Use best practices and knowledge of current regulations to maintain safety.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of practical experience.
  • Skills: Proven work experience as a Chemical Engineer or similar role, knowledgeable in chemical engineering principal and practice.
