Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vascular Technologist to join our team in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Ascension St. Vincent's Birmingham. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for leading assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in vascular diagnostic services, as well as overseeing and evaluating the orientation and training of assigned associates.

Responsibilities
  • Lead assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in vascular diagnostic services.
  • Oversee and evaluate the orientation and training of assigned associates.
  • Assign, monitor, and review progress of work.
  • Monitor and report compliance with policies and/or procedures.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Cardiac-Intrvn Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Medical Sonographer from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
