We are currently seeking skilled Commercial Kitchen Appliance Service Technicians to join our expanding team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of various kitchen systems, including but not limited to steamers, ovens, mixers, fryers, and griddles. As a Commercial Kitchen Appliance Service Technician, you will engage in troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating equipment, as well as replacing components such as gas valves, water fill valves, thermostats, and control boards. Your role will involve diagnosing issues, communicating these to clients in straightforward terms, providing cost estimates, and suggesting alternative solutions.
Success in this position requires excellent customer service skills paired with strong technical knowledge. The top candidates will be detail-oriented, organized, and personable.
- Conducting cleaning, adjustments, and repairs on kitchen hot side systems, including warranty-related tasks.
- Diagnosing defective kitchen equipment through effective troubleshooting.
- Performing preventative maintenance by cleaning, adjusting, and servicing Commercial Kitchen Equipment.
- Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency repair needs.
- Maintaining daily logs and records of maintenance activities.
- Ensuring the service vehicle is well-maintained.
- Adhering to appliance standards and complying with Health and Safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with commercial kitchen equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills. (HVAC and refrigeration experience is a plus but not mandatory)
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
