Electro-Optical Satellite Payload Specialist

SAIC is seeking an experienced Electro-Optical Satellite Payload Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the NRO Commercial System Program Office (CSPO). The successful candidate will work closely with the CSPO team to provide technical and programmatic insight on satellite capabilities and activities.
Key Responsibilities- Directly support CSPO in assessing commercial satellite providers' electro-optical space systems.
- Provide advisory expertise in evaluating commercial satellite provider proposals and technical evaluations.
- Coordinate commercial electro-optical provider support to USG exercises, demonstrations, and operational collections.
- Apply optical payload engineering knowledge to support acquisition milestone events and reviews.
- Assist in Government source selections and technical evaluations of commercial satellite provider proposals.
- BS in Engineering, Physics, or similar technical discipline with 14 years of experience; Master's and 12 years of experience; PhD and 9 years of experience.
- Experience working on electro-optical satellite programs and a solid understanding of electro-optical first principles.
- Strong familiarity with electro-optical system functionality, performance, and product data structures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- 5 or more years of experience working on electro-optical satellite programs and a solid understanding of EO first principles.
- 3 or more years of experience working with electro-optical image product types, collection modes, product data structures, and quality figures of merit.
- 7 or more years of Electro-optical satellite acquisition experience, specifically writing and evaluating requirements, and assessing development contractor performance.
