Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Corewell Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations to patients. Your expertise will be essential in assisting physicians with invasive procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain comprehensive patient histories and operate ultrasound equipment to provide quality diagnostic studies.
  • Perform various diagnostic ultrasound examinations as prescribed by physicians and/or radiologists, adhering to established protocols.
  • Document quality images, including pathology noted during real-time scanning, and assist physicians during invasive procedures as needed.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and stock rooms with supplies, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Support objectives set by lead ultrasonographer, imaging specialist, supervisor, and/or manager, and assist with credentialing and competencies.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in ultrasound.
  • CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or equivalent certifications.
Physical Demands

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist role requires occasional standing, walking, and forward bending, with frequent trunk rotation and handling. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 35 pounds is necessary.

Work Environment

This part-time position is based at Reed City Hospital, with a 24-hour weekly schedule and on-call weekends. Corewell Health is committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment, and we require a drug-free workplace.
