The Clinical Nurse Educator is a key member of our nursing team, responsible for developing and implementing clinical education programs that promote high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong background in nursing practice, education, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical education programs for nursing staff, focusing on adult learning theories and evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with nursing managers and staff to identify educational needs and develop targeted programs.
- Conduct in-services and continuing education programs for nursing staff, utilizing principles of change theory to effect smooth processes of change.
- Participate in the interview process for nursing positions involving leadership or expanded role functions.
- Represent Nursing Professional Development on committees and teams requiring education of nursing staff.
- Maintain records of educational programs and activities of the nursing department.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing and current state-specific licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program or currently enrolled in a program leading to an MSN within 1 year of employment.
- Minimum of three years direct clinical experience in the specialty/with the population served and demonstrated abilities in teaching, leadership skills, and clinical nursing practice.
