Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team at 2H Talent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for high-end interior projects, ground-up offices, data centers, and other construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Utilize estimation software to calculate quantities, material costs, and labor costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Review and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information necessary for accurate estimates.
  • Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals and ensure timely delivery to clients.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of estimating databases and templates.
  • Stay current with industry trends, construction materials, and labor costs to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with a General Contractor.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience using estimation software such as MS Excel, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), and Bluebeam.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
