We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for the successful operation of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and expenditure for the account
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and create menus that meet the needs of our clients and customers
- Produce and execute catering events with precision and attention to detail
- Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with our marketing and culinary teams
- A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or a related field
- Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training
- Catering experience a plus
- High volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
- Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, and the Internet
- Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
- ServSafe certified highly desirable
