We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dialysis team at Health Systems Management, Inc. (HSM). As a Home Training Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in educating patients on prescribed dialysis treatment and providing highly professional and technical nursing care.
Responsibilities- Educate patients on prescribed dialysis treatment and explain modality options and home dialysis requirements.
- Meet and evaluate prospective new home therapy patients and provide instruction on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Rend highly professional and technical nursing care to dialysis patients, including coordinating with multidisciplinary team members in patient care management.
- Interact with patients and their families to provide instruction and assess daily patient care needs, and communicate patient needs to direct supervisor/physician.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing processes, and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to achieve the highest standards of care specific to the age/developmental status of the patient.
- Ensure a secure and safe patient environment by following safety policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure appropriate to the state of practice.
- Minimum of 1-year RN experience, required.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to fill in when needed.
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills.
- Employee must successfully pass the Ishihara's Color Blind Test.
