Job SummaryThe Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) position involves assisting occupational therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans to help patients achieve their functional goals. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist occupational therapists in carrying out treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living (ADL) training.
- Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving their functional abilities and independence.
- Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients' responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.
- Preferred: Current valid CPR certification.
- Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Experience: 0-1 years.
