Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures according to departmental protocols and physician orders.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Provide clear and detailed images for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss case findings.
  • Assist in the management and care of patients before, during, and after ultrasound procedures.
  • Ensure the ultrasound equipment is in optimal working condition and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current ultrasound technology and techniques.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
  • Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in the abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology (ob/gyn).
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data that are used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis.
  • Excellent patient care skills with the ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A high level of professionalism and adherence to all privacy and patient safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
