Responsibilities:- Leadership and Supervision: Assign and monitor staff work and schedules, maintain accurate data on employee attendance and performance, and address behavioral issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Patient Throughput Management: Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, triage incoming calls, and coordinate bed assignments to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Clinical Practice and Care Management: Respond to the needs of the nursing team, provide clinical practice and care management RN job standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and families to maximize patient outcomes, and delegate patient care activities to other team members.
- Quality: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, incorporate evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice, and ensure improvements in practice settings.
- Professional Development: Act as a clinical resource, mentor, and leader, and assume responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years acute care experience and 1 year charge/supervisory nurse experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Proficient in the English language, verbal and written communication skills, computer skills, and IV Therapy skills
- Current State license as RN, BLS Certification, ACLS, and PALS certifications
