Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized ReStore Donations Supervisor to join our team at Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake. As a key member of our ReStore team, you will be responsible for supervising the warehouse and donation intake area, providing support to the ReStore management team, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations: Supervise the warehouse and donation intake area, ensuring a clean, well-organized, and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Donation Management: Oversee the processing of donations, including cleaning, pricing, and restocking merchandise.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, handle customer inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Logistics: Assist with daily operations, including using the point of sale system, cash register, and other equipment as needed.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train staff and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards, accident procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of retail and/or business-related experience and 1 year of DOT driving experience required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS operating systems.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license, ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, driving record check, DOT physical, and drug screening test.
Working Conditions

This role primarily serves in the retail stores and may require occasional work in the administrative offices or visiting construction sites. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and travel to various locations.
