Job Summary:

The Early Head Start Supervising Teacher is responsible for providing direct supervision to a classroom of eight children, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional growth. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our programs are developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate, and that each child receives the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide responsive care and effective teaching methods to promote healthy development in children of all abilities, cultures, and languages.
  • Ensure a nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional security, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate research-based early childhood curricula to support each child's individual development and learning.
  • Conduct standardized screening tools and structured assessments to evaluate each child's developmental level and progress.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure that services provided are culturally and linguistically responsive, and that each child receives the support they need to succeed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) or comparable credential with a focus on infant and toddler development.
  • Sufficient training, coursework, experience, and competency to be an infant and toddler Teacher.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in early childhood care and education.
  • Ability to operate in an organized, detail-oriented manner while maintaining flexibility.
