Position Overview

The role of the Revenue Cycle Analyst III is integral to the effective management of hospital billing and reimbursement processes. This position focuses on analyzing reimbursement patterns, developing systems and processes, resolving issues, and overseeing workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis and troubleshoot unprecedented issues in the revenue cycle.
  • Deliver in-depth reporting on contract payor performance, including trends in payments, denials, and discrepancies.
  • Identify and monitor issues related to expected versus actual reimbursements to enhance revenue and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various departments to devise strategies and implement policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of account information to facilitate timely billing and optimal reimbursement.
  • Review and refine processes encompassing authorization, registration, charge capture, coding, and collections.
  • Act as a liaison for the development and management of the Contract Management system.
  • Maintain and test contract profiles within relevant systems prior to deployment.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a large healthcare institution or integrated health system.
  • Understanding of hospital billing and reimbursement practices for various payors.
  • Experience with revenue cycle information systems and complex project implementations.
  • Proficient in the healthcare revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and cash management.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in data analysis tools, particularly Microsoft Excel, and ability to create executive-level reports.
  • Strong advisory experience in management, offering insights on regulatory changes and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a track record of leading teams and managing projects effectively.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Slicer and Tableau.
  • Experience in managing contracts within relevant systems.
