Position Overview
Top Docs is looking to engage a qualified Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to conduct Compensation & Pension Exams (C&P) for military Veterans across various locations in the United States.
- Contract Duration: 6-12 months (with potential for extension)
- Work Schedule: Full-time
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
Role Responsibilities
The selected Practitioner will review relevant medical history and perform one-time, non-treatment vision assessments for Veterans. The examination results will be documented through a web-based platform, ensuring all records are maintained electronically. Completed evaluations will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability determination purposes.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates must hold an active license as an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team is essential. Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to evolving situations are required. Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
Preferred Experience
While experience with compensation exams or the Veterans Affairs system is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Comprehensive training will be provided.
