Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Skin and Wound CareJob Summary:

United Wound Healing PS is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Skin and Wound Care Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality skin and wound care services to patients in our assigned region.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop collaborative wound care teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Travel to scheduled locations weekly for wound rounds and house calls, providing expert skin and wound care services to patients.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies to assess patient health care needs.
  • Perform bedside wound care skills, including wound assessment, dressing application, pressure relief, pain/odor control, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Track the progress of wound healing and document timely in our electronic medical record.
  • Develop treatment plans for skin and wound conditions based on individual patient needs and our Clinical Practice Guidelines.
  • Collaborate virtually with medical leadership, including board-certified physicians and surgeons specializing in wound care, dermatology, podiatry, vascular surgery, and infectious disease.
Requirements:
  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in the working state.
  • Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license.
  • 1-2 years of wound care and/or surgical experience (highly preferred, but not required); extensive training available.
  • Punctuality, dependability, and ability to work/schedule appointments independently.
  • Trustworthiness, honesty, and a positive and professional attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through verbal and written communication lines.
