Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Office and Classroom Support Specialist to join our team at Discovery Point. As an Office and Classroom Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, while also supporting the effective operation of our child development center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the director and/or owner, including managing staff, establishing and supporting enrollment procedures, and providing ongoing communication with parents.
  • Assist with the daily operation of the child development center, including managing supplies, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Support the development and implementation of early childhood education curriculum, including planning and leading activities for children.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure a high-quality education program for children, including providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist with cost management of the center, including tracking expenses and making recommendations for cost-saving measures.
Requirements
  • Experience as an office assistant and classroom aide in a licensed child care center.
  • Previous supervisory experience or experience providing work direction.
  • CPR/First Aid/Fire Safety certification, and any other training required by regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education curriculum.
  • Ability to meet state background check requirements.
Compensation

$8 - $12/hour
