Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our team as an Assistant Director of the Stonewall Center. This dynamic individual will play a key role in supporting the personal and intellectual development of LGBTQIA students, providing programs and services that foster a sense of community and belonging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs that promote LGBTQIA awareness, inclusion, and support.
  • Collaborate with student organizations, faculty, and staff to create a welcoming and inclusive campus environment.
  • Supervise and train undergraduate student staff to provide peer support and mentorship to LGBTQIA students.
  • Manage the Stonewall Center's peer mentorship program, including mentor training and program evaluation.
  • Represent the Stonewall Center at university events and conferences, promoting the center's mission and goals.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Three years of experience working with college students, preferably in a student affairs or higher education setting.
  • Strong understanding of LGBTQIA issues and experiences, with a commitment to creating inclusive and supportive environments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, 37.5-hour per week position, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with some evening and weekend work required.
