Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Financial Counselor to provide expert financial guidance and support to military service members and their families at assigned installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive personal financial counseling services, including one-on-one counseling, group briefings, and presentations.
  • Develop and implement financial education programs to promote financial literacy and stability among military personnel and their families.
  • Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with installation needs.
  • Manage duty to warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
  • Participate in regular supervision, training, and quality improvement activities to enhance professional development and program effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of financial counseling experience, with a focus on military financial readiness.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
