At Stewart Engineering, Inc., we're seeking a skilled Community Planning Specialist to join our team in Downtown Raleigh. This is a full-time position with an estimated hourly salary of $45-$55.

About the Role:

  • We're looking for someone who can work collaboratively with engineers and planners to deliver projects such as Comprehensive Plans and Development Ordinances.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience using GIS software (ArcGIS, ArcPro) for geographic analysis and be proficient in creating maps, reports, and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of maps, data products, reports, and presentations in support of various GIS and technology projects.
  • Work with others to create context-sensitive solutions and engage with the public to gather information.
  • Research planning/land use related issues, gathering and analyzing data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in City Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography, GIS, Landscape Architecture or equivalent.
  • Professional planning and GIS experience preferred.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including knowledge of technical writing techniques.
