Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Propulsion System Engineer to join our team at InDepth Engineering Solutions, LLC.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, 100% onsite position responsible for supporting design and releasing teams in manufacturing and assembly plants. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with the lead BMS and Pack Integration DRE, software engineers, technical specialists, other engineers, and plant personnel to ensure Battery Management System is successfully implemented in the battery pack assembly & in vehicle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and verifying BMS calibrations
  • Performing Battery EOL testing and assisting in troubleshooting and reporting issues for resolution
  • SUPPORTING problem solving activities by analyzing EOL data with Vector CAN tools, INCA, or plant tester diagnostic tools, or by visual inspection
  • Aiding in the authoring of EOL tester change requests
  • Aiding in change control and establishment of clean points (may require part relabeling / off-line re-flashing as needed)
  • Establishing and documenting new requirements, best practices, and lessons learned as appropriate, with guidance from BMS engineering
  • SUPPORTING vehicle triage and systems level troubleshooting of the battery pack on the vehicle assembly line and flexibility to support field issues as well
  • Demonstrating proficiency in data collection, post-processing, and analysis during calibration release DVP activities
  • Analyzing functional models to root cause & document controls & SW issues blocking calibration progress. Perform virtual and in-vehicle testing to achieve calibration maturity at each of the vehicle milestones of the program
  • Working closely with the center of competency to review both issues with functional area, integration, and follow guidance for calibration best practice and methodology
  • SUPPORTING vehicle fleet/logistics activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with manufacturing experience or equivalent education in manufacturing principles
  • Combination of business focus, analytical and problem-solving skills in order to quickly define solutions within a specific application
  • Must have experience with data acquisition and have the ability to use development diagnostic tools and data acquisition tools: INCA, Vector tools: CANalyzer
  • Excellent oral and written and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team and with a proactive attitude
  • Proficiency with application engineering principles
  • Process oriented, and high attention to detail
  • 5 + years of Industry experience
  • English: Advanced
Estimated Salary Range

$120,000 - $150,000 per year
