Job Summary

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining slit machine equipment, preparing paper rolls, and ensuring the efficient production of coupons and advertisements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of slit machine equipment, following manufacturer's instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions as needed.
  • Paper Roll Preparation: Feed rolls through machine cylinders and adjust equipment controls to optimize production.
  • Quality Control: Collect and inspect random samples during slit runs to identify any needed adjustments and ensure high-quality production.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Assist with the preparation of shipping materials and resources, ensuring proper procedures are followed during slit and shipping processes.
  • Customer Service: Expedite the prompt resolution of employee, vendor, and customer problems, questions, concerns, and discrepancies, notifying the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Special Projects: Participate in a wide variety of special projects to support the growth and success of our company.
  • Communication: Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role operates in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to chemicals and materials related to printer press operation. The position requires employees to maintain a physical condition capable of bending, twisting, standing, and walking for long periods, and lifting items up to 75 lbs.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (equivalent work experience may substitute for educational requirements).
  • Experience: Experience in manufacturing or Point of Sale industry (preferred).
  • Skills: Ethical conduct, visual detail, time management, independent decision making, and communication proficiency.

  • Must submit pre-employment drug and background check authorization.
