Key Responsibilities
  • Wound Care Management: Responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management of wounds in our facility, including cleaning and dressing.
  • Admission and Documentation: Completes admission paperwork and documents resident care services by charting in resident and department records.
  • Medication Administration: Monitors residents and administers medication and treatments as prescribed.
  • Resident Support: Provides advice and support to residents and their families, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Infection Control: Protects residents and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Quality Assurance: Assures quality of care by adhering to facility philosophies and standards of care.
  • Confidentiality: Maintains resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
  • Reporting and Tracking: Tracks and reports on infection control, including monthly reports.
Requirements
  • Current NYS State RN License: Must be currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Long-Term Care Experience: Preferred experience in long-term care settings.
  • Wound and Ostomy Certification: Must be certified in wound and ostomy care.
  • Computer Skills: Solid computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Friendly and a team worker, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
