About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at LHC Group. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients overcome speech and language disorders, and cognitive impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patient care needs related to treating speech and language disorders and functional training in communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments.
  • Development of Therapy Plans: Assist physicians in developing therapy plans of care, taking into account the patient's level of function and applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.
  • Treatment and Education: Treat patients to communicate effectively, instructing them, their families, and caregivers on areas of speech therapy in which they can participate.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work in coordination with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Must be currently licensed in Speech Therapy in Washington, DC.
  • Certifications: Current CPR certification.
  • Transportation: Must have a current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
