Job Summary:
The Recreation Therapist is responsible for delivering recreational therapy services to patients within the Recreation Therapy Department's scope of service. This includes developing and implementing individualized plans of care, maintaining professional standards, and reporting to the Inpatient Therapy Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver recreational therapy sessions to meet the needs of assigned patients
- Conduct assessments to identify patient goals and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field
- Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation specialist (CTRS) or eligible for certification
- Licensure as a Recreational Therapist in the state of Virginia
Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience
