Role Summary

The Production Quality Inspector is an entry-level position within the facility, tasked with executing manual operational duties in the production environment. This role involves escalating significant production challenges and addressing minor issues as needed, all while working under the close supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Shift Information:
Sunday - Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM CST

Qualifications

- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field is preferred.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations related to medical device manufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred.
- Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate machinery by identifying emergency stops and halting processes when safety concerns arise, while reporting any safety issues.
- Conduct quality inspections according to established protocols, visually examining in-process and finished products, stopping production when quality issues are detected, and participating in root cause analysis.
- Ensure accurate documentation of traceability, production data, cleaning records, and safety checks.
- Perform line clearance, 6S activities, basic maintenance, and routine cleaning of production equipment to uphold environmental standards.
- Adhere to statutory responsibilities under national and federal regulations, ensuring personal health, safety, and welfare, as well as that of colleagues.
- Follow established Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) procedures and encourage team compliance.
- Engage in EH&S initiatives, including root cause analysis, solution identification, implementation of improvements, inspections, and meetings.
- Complete and stay current with required EH&S training.
- Comply with all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA, and corporate standards, policies, and procedures.
- Observe all safety regulations consistently in all work areas.
- Report all safety incidents, hazards, and potential unsafe conditions.
- Work overtime as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with or without accommodation.

- Maintain necessary licenses, training, and certifications.
- Work on routine assignments that may require some problem-solving.

- Work under moderate supervision, with regular output reviews by a supervisor.
- Refer complex or unusual issues to a supervisor.

Compensation:
$24.00 per hour (includes shift differential)
