Job Summary

As a Radiology Technologist at Corewell Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. Under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring the best possible images for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality diagnostic exams after verifying patient identification and physician orders.
  • Acquire accurate patient histories and document them in the medical record.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety.
  • Perform radiographic and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods.
  • Ensure STAT requests are relayed to radiologists in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, administrative staff, medical staff, and peers.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow policies for malfunctions or quality control failures.
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and yourself using ALARA standards.
  • Provide procedural information and education to patients and families prior to each exam.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross.
