Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team at Durham Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional hearing services to our students, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and provide recommendations for hearing aids and other assistive devices
Develop and implement individualized hearing plans to support students with hearing impairments
Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure students with hearing impairments receive the support they need to access the curriculum
Provide training and support to teachers on strategies for supporting students with hearing impairments
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in audiology and hearing support

Requirements:

Master's degree in Audiology or related field
Certification or licensure as an Audiologist
Experience working with children with hearing impairments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
