About the Role

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Interventional Radiology department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Assuming responsibility for each assigned patient, performing patient assessments, and correlating clinical findings with exam/procedure request.
  • Obtaining pertinent information from patient's chart and documenting all data within the EHR.
  • Positioning patients and selecting appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
  • Identifying, preparing, and/or administering pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
  • Selecting technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
  • Applying the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others and being aware of MR safety practices.
  • Assisting physicians in performing procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Interventional Radiology RT(VI)/(CI)/or (CV).
  • Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Post-primary certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography and ACLS is preferred.
