RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to become part of our dedicated team. As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to operate designated imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients. With a focus on patient care, you will deliver radiologic services that adhere to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service. Each patient visits our facilities seeking clarity and answers. You will support them through this sometimes challenging experience by providing clear explanations and addressing their inquiries regarding the imaging process.
Work Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Imaging Duties (90%):
- Conduct patient screenings prior to imaging to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to confirm accuracy.
- Prepare and explain imaging procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and are positioned correctly for optimal imaging.
- Execute routine and advanced imaging procedures on specified body areas for diagnostic purposes, minimizing the need for repeat scans while providing reassurance to patients throughout the process.
- Adjust imaging parameters as necessary, employing dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
- Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
- Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself, patients, and coworkers.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and staff.
- Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
- Maintain imaging equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
- Uphold all HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in surgical and outpatient procedures using a Fluoroscopy C-Arm.
Departmental Support Duties (5%):
- Help maintain an updated imaging protocol manual and assist with software upgrades.
- Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, requesting additional supplies as needed.
- Support the training of new team members by providing guidance and technical expertise.
Additional Responsibilities (5%):
- Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, in good standing.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited radiography program.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the relevant state, if applicable.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Demonstrated training and experience to competently perform radiologic procedures independently.
