Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVACR Technician to join our team at the City of Greenfield. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the installation, replacement, repair, maintenance, and inspection of all gas and oil systems, commercial air conditioning and mini split systems, and other associated machinery, equipment, and systems in our municipal buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled work in the installation, replacement, repair, maintenance, and inspection of HVACR systems
  • Ensure the integrity of systems and safety of all facilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair gas units, and possess a valid Massachusetts driver license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment
  • Meet the requirements for 608 EPA Universal certification and Hot Works certification
  • Work effectively in a team environment and respond to or be on-call for emergency situations outside of normal work hours
Requirements
  • High school or GED diploma and a minimum of five (5) years prior work experience working in a large, complex, multi-building facility, or a two (2) year degree in HVACR from an accredited vocational school plus three (3) years field experience
  • Knowledge of gas and oil fired boilers, gas and electric furnaces, heat pumps, unit ventilators, refrigeration, circulating pumps, air handling units
  • Must have an acceptable driving record and be insurable under city's policy
  • Must pass CORI and SORI check
What We Offer

Salary Range: $57, $78,894.40 commensurate with experience
