Nhccare is a leading provider of healthcare services, and we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Specialist to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**

As a Housekeeping Specialist at Nhccare, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our patient rooms, patient areas, and hallways. This will include:

  • Cleaning patient bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, tubs, and showers
  • Emptying garbage cans in patient rooms, patient bathrooms, activity areas, and other areas throughout the center
  • Cleaning patient rooms, including mopping and/or buffing floors, dusting furniture both on top and underneath
  • Cleaning hallways, sweeping up debris, mopping, stripping, and buffing following company and center policies and procedures
  • Cleaning walls, furniture, and equipment, as needed, to provide a clean and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Working safely, following proper procedures when using chemical agents
  • Following established cleaning schedules

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to read and understand Standard English
  • The ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, families, fellow employees, and visitors
  • The ability to be on your feet for 7-8 hours a day
  • The ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and climb, depending on the job
  • The ability to lift 20 to 25 pounds frequently and 50 to 75 pounds occasionally
  • The ability to move heavy furniture occasionally
  • The ability to see, hear, and communicate adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities
  • The ability to work with standard cleaning chemicals
