As a Commissary Chef or Lounge Sous Chef with Compass Group Careers, you will play a crucial role in the successful operation of the Capital One Landing with our F&B partner, Jose Andres Group. You will assist in the supervision, preparation, and cooking of various food items, developing daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment. You may supervise hourly associates and work with the Chef De Cuisine to develop new menus and assist with ordering.

• Assist the Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
• Assist the Chef with planning and creating menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation
• Produce and execute catering events that exceed client expectations
• Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with our marketing and culinary teams

• A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or a related field
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training
• Catering experience is a plus, with a focus on high-volume, complex foodservice operations
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences are helpful
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable
