Work Schedule: 7 x 9 hour shifts: (Wednesday to Tuesday; 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) 7 days on and 7 days off.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the acceptability of specimens for testing based on established criteria.
- Conduct routine and complex technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Exhibit sound judgment in making technical decisions regarding testing and problem resolution.
- Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls.
- Deliver accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
- Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control measures.
- Identify and restock testing supplies as needed.
- Assist with specimen processing when required.
- Maintain a safe working environment and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory requirements.
- Prior experience in clinical laboratory testing is highly preferred.
- Possession of any specific state license if applicable.
- ASCP or AMT certification is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in computer usage; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screening.
- Willingness to work overtime or adjust shifts based on business needs.
