Job Summary

OU Health is seeking a skilled Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean patient rooms, including beds, floors, and bathroom fixtures
  • Collect and dispose of soiled linen, trash, and bio-hazardous waste
  • Dust, mop, and vacuum floors, as well as buff and wax floors as scheduled
  • Clean and maintain equipment, including vacuums and cleaning solutions
  • Perform daily reports and submit to department supervisor
  • Ensure safe care to patients by adhering to policies, procedures, and standards
  • Promote individual professional growth and development through mandatory/continuing education and skills competency
Requirements
  • High School diploma preferred
  • Experience buffing, stripping, finishing, burnishing, and waxing floors is preferred
  • Command of English strongly preferred
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and extend for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull a wheeled cart
Working Conditions

Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing or safety equipment
