Job Summary

This position is responsible for assembling electrical components, including wiring, cutting, and building consoles, as well as running system testing and preparing and installing parts, covers, and wires into exterior compartments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical components, including wiring, cutting, and building consoles
  • Run system testing and prepare and install parts, covers, and wires into exterior compartments
  • Hook up load centers, inverters, door switches, antennas, and heating and air conditioning systems
  • Install air horn pumps, on-spot pumps, and air ride pumps
  • Prep, drill, and pre-wire trucks for taillights, underneath wiring, and ground straps
  • Hook up A/C and heater hoses, grille and intersection lights, horn and siren speakers
  • Help other departmental employees and adhere to production schedules while maintaining quality products
Requirements
  • Electrical background, including 12V and 110V
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with AC and DC circuits
  • Mechanical/electrical aptitude, including power and/or air tools
  • Ability to run or learn to use wire strippers, wire cutters, crimpers, pliers, table saws, drills, hand torches, grinders, and other equipment
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with harness building processes
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to teach other employees processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
  • Ability to inspect finished products during manufacturing
  • Ability to apply quality assurance techniques
  • Ability to meet or exceed cost reduction goals
  • Ability to understand manufacturing methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of Life Line products and materials needed for production
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with and assist other production personnel
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Good measuring and mathematical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Working Hours

Monday - Thursday: 6 am - 3:30 pm, Friday: 6 am - 10 am. Must be flexible and able to come in earlier or stay late on certain days.

Experience
  • Previous mechanical tool or electrical experience and Life Line product knowledge a plus
Education
  • High school diploma, technical degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift, move, and carry
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
