Evaluate cost components and develop estimates utilized for managerial purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling tasks; preparing proposals; selecting vendors or subcontractors; and identifying cost-effective strategies.

Engage and maintain communication with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring adequate coverage from subcontractors on the day of bidding.

Proactively follow up with subcontractors to guarantee that bids are submitted on time.

Verify that all bids are accurately priced by subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with tax exemptions and confirming that pricing aligns with the defined scope of work.

Submit proposals and budgets by the designated deadline.

Demonstrate the ability to collaborate across various functions to manage cost and pricing factors that impact customer acquisition, retention, and revenue generation.

Consistently follow up on submitted proposals and budgets with general contractors to secure business. Ensure the proper turnover of bid documents to the Construction Department upon award, including all relevant information required.

Qualifications:

2 to 3 years of estimating experience within the controls sector.

Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. Possess skills and understanding in conceptual estimating.

Demonstrated success in project estimation.

Above-average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with knowledge of estimating software applications.
