Job Title: Kinship Placement Support Specialist

Job Overview: This position is focused on assisting with the licensing and re-licensing processes for both relative and non-relative kinship placements within case management.

  • Conduct initial licensing home assessments for potential relative and non-relative placements.
  • Perform annual re-licensing home assessments for all level one licensed households.
  • Facilitate mandatory training sessions for level one licensure and re-licensure.
  • Ensure prompt submission of home assessments to the ChildNet licensing division.
  • Provide ongoing support to licensed relatives and non-relatives.
  • Work collaboratively with Kinship Support Specialists to resolve issues.
  • Supply essential information for both initial licensing and re-licensing processes.
  • Assist in identifying natural support systems for caregiving responsibilities.
  • Document case activities in FSFN within a 48-hour timeframe.
  • Engage in discussions aimed at enhancing level one licensure processes.
  • Carry out assigned responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in Human Services or Child Welfare sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related discipline.
  • Certification as a Child Welfare Professional.
