About the Role

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Specialty Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support in the operating room and post-anesthesia care unit.
  • Assist in preparing patients for examinations and procedures, and assist with procedures as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document patient concerns, messages, and care provided in the patient's medical record.
  • Perform accurate vital sign measurements and documentation.
  • Provide leadership and support to support staff.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Registered Nurse program.
  • Valid CA RN License.
  • Current AHA BCLS certificate.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Medical terminology familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding procedures and reference tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year experience in an outpatient or inpatient setting as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in Cardiovascular Nursing and coordination of surgeries.
  • Familiarity with an electronic practice management system.
