Clinical Geneticist

Shodair Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Geneticist to join their Genetics Program in Helena, Montana.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing genetic evaluations, testing, and counseling to patients and their families throughout the Rocky Mountain region. This will include working in cancer genetics clinics, prenatal genetic testing and counseling, as well as neuro and cardiac genetics.

The Genetics team at Shodair conducts monthly outreach clinics throughout Western Montana, and the opportunity to work with Native American and Hutterite patient populations for genetic testing/research is also available.

This is an attractive outpatient position that offers a 4-day workweek with no call duties. The Clinical Geneticist will evaluate a variety of child, adolescent, and adult patients, typically seeing an average of 6-8 patients a day in the clinic, along with approximately 2-4 telemedicine patient consults.

• Possession of an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Physician license to practice in Montana
• Board certified or board eligible in Medical Genetics (ABMGG)
