Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Geisinger. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nutritional care to our patients.


About the Role

This Per Diem position is responsible for assessing individual patient needs, developing personalized nutrition plans, and providing evidence-based therapeutic diets. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional needs, including medical history, dietary habits, and lifestyle factors.
  • Develop and implement effective nutrition plans tailored to each patient's specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless communication.
  • Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on healthy eating habits, meal planning, and nutrition-related topics.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in clinical nutrition.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field (Required)
  • Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (Default Issuing Body) (Required)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Patient-centered approach with a focus on exceptional customer service

Compensation

Our competitive compensation package includes an estimated salary of $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits program, including 401(k) matching, employee assistance programs, and paid time off.
