Food Expeditor Job Description

Chuy's - Cool Springs is seeking a skilled Food Expeditor to join our team in Franklin, TN. As a Food Expeditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of orders from the POS to the Cook, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up workstations and ingredients to facilitate food preparation and plating according to recipes.
  • Follow plating specifications created by the chefs to ensure presentation and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure orders are prepared with the correct priority and delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the final preparation of dishes, including checking for accuracy, presentation, and temperature.
  • Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines, or dishwashing to maintain a smooth kitchen operation.
  • Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning.
  • Transfer important information between the customer and the kitchen, such as special requests or dietary needs.
