Urology Department Lead Nurse

Madison Medical Affiliates is seeking a skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to oversee the operations of our Urology department. As a key member of our clinical team, you will work closely with physicians and staff to ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure staff adherence to workplace protocols and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between staff and physicians.
- Responsible for training new clinical team members and maintaining annual competencies and CLIA compliance.
- Create and evaluate staffing plans and schedules.
- Assist with procedures and demonstrate current knowledge and skill in nursing practice to ensure safe and effective care for the patient population.
- Provide treatment and determine plan of care under provider supervision.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, employees, physicians, and the public to promote a professional healthcare environment.
- Stay current on electronic health records (EHR) changes and ensure appropriate and effective documentation in patient records.
- Authorize refills safely, efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner according to approved protocols.
- First call for after-hours patient calls.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Urology or surgical specialty.
- 3-5 years of experience in managing staff.
- Current CPR licensing required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible in learning and handling a variety of duties.
